Let's introduce our Head Professional, Phil Kavanagh. Phil started in the golf industry way back in 1983 as a back shop attendant at Indian Wells Golf Club. His professional career took him to Trafalgar Golf Club, followed by five years as the first assistant at Burlington Golf and Country Club, and then as the Head Professional at Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club before joining Islington in 2002.
Phil oversees our golf operation, including the Golf Shop and its team of golf professionals and merchandisers. The Golf Shop is outfitted with a wide variety of merchandise, including the latest golf equipment and attire. Need a little guidance? Our experienced golf professionals offer lessons and will assist you with selecting the right gear and club fitting.

Our practice facility with ball flight technology and short game area are some of the newest additions to the Club. Every shot you need to practice can be done here.
With a number of synthetic turf hitting bays available, put your distance and power to the test in our full-swing range using any club in your bag, including your driver. Practice your approach shots on levelled or sloped bentgrass greens and use the bunkers to work on those critical pitch and sand shots.
During the off season, take advantage of the indoor learning centre with four full swing hitting stations and the use of FlightScope launch monitors at the Winter Golf Academy.
